Choosing the right location for your feeder

Visibility: Place the feeder in a location where it is easily visible to you and, more importantly, to hummingbirds.

Shelter from Wind: Position the feeder in a sheltered spot to minimize swinging and spilling of nectar due to wind.

Shade and Sun: While hummingbirds prefer shade to some extent, they also like feeders that receive morning sunlight.

Proximity to Cover: Place the feeder within 10-15 feet of trees, shrubs, or other vegetation. Hummingbirds use these as perches and for cover

Quiet Environment: Avoid placing the feeder near busy areas with lots of human activity or pets. Hummingbirds are cautious creatures and prefer quieter spots

Accessibility: Ensure the feeder is easy to access for both you (for refilling and cleaning) and the hummingbirds

Distance from Windows: To prevent bird collisions, place the feeder at least 3 feet away from windows or glass doors.
